Bruntwood SciTech is launching Spring Fest 2024 which will take place on Saturday 27th April at Alderley Park in Cheshire.
As well as being a world-leading science and tech campus, Alderley Park's beautiful 400 acre woodland estate is also home to a working farm which will throw open its gates to the public to host Spring Fest. A chance to celebrate the magic of spring and everything that it means for wildlife, animals and nature, Spring Fest will allow families to immerse themselves in countryside life and new beginnings right at the heart of Alderley Park's scenic estate.
To coincide with Bruntwood SciTech's 10 year anniversary of acquiring the Park this year, the public event, formerly known as "Farm Weekend", will be a refreshed version of the popular event that has been taking place at Alderley Park since 2019. Reflecting on this exciting milestone and to further enhance the event, the 2024 event will include live music from Cheshire-based The Roaming Empire, plus a live DJ to get attendees into the weekend spirit. New activities include a woodland trail treasure hunt aimed at curious little ones and their families, exciting off-road adventures with mini Rovers, alongside educational and interactive farming pop-ups.
The Alderley Park Farm is home to 250 ewes and the flock produces around 400 lambs each year. This year, visitors will be able to admire the flock in the lambing shed, as well as pet other animals from the farm, and take tours of the whole site by tractor.
There will also be falconry displays, donkey rides and spring crafts, whilst independent street food brands and bars will be popping up for a full festival experience.
Taking place from 10am to 4pm, Spring Fest is a not-for-profit community event. Tickets are priced at £8 per person, which includes all activities on site and a 50p donation from each ticket going to charity. Under 3s go free. Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 1st March.
The historic Alderley Park, owned, managed and developed by Bruntwood SciTech, a joint venture between property company Bruntwood, Legal & General, and Greater Manchester Pension Fund, offers a range of office and lab space for companies working in science, technology and the wider innovation sector. It is also home to a wide range of amenities including a state-of-the-art gym and sports complex - Everybody @ Alderley Park, newly-launched padel courts, an on-site restaurant and pub - The Churchill Tree, and scenic woodland with walking, running and cycling routes open to the public. The 1m sq ft campus is home to over 250 companies including innovators such as Evotec, Medicines Discovery Catapult, SAP and Lokulus.
Daniel Bourne, Director of Asset Management at Bruntwood SciTech said "We're delighted to launch Spring Fest this April and can't wait to bring our most inspiring programme yet to the community. As we celebrate 10 years of the transformation of Alderley Park, we thought it the perfect time to evolve our Farm Weekend event and pack in even more reasons to love Spring and all that it embodies. Nature is at the heart of what we do at Alderley Park and we're delighted to throw open our gates to the community to experience the joy of the Park."
