Wilmslow's Community Market Garden Group, who run three community gardens in Wilmslow, are hosting the town's first Potato Day in February.

For those who grow their own, or would like to try, a wide variety of seed potatoes will be available at very low prices so you can try out lots of different varieties whether you're growing in a tub, in your garden, or on your allotment.

Over 17 varieties of potato will be available, along with Broad Beans, Peas, Garlic and Onions.

Garry Olson, who leads the community garden at the Temp said, "This is a great opportunity to try your hand at growing potatoes for very little money. They are fun to grow with children and all keen gardeners love growing spuds from first earlies to main crop."

The Potato Day will be taking place at the URC Halls on Chapel Lane, Wilmslow on Saturday 3rd February from 10am-1pm. If you'd like any more information you can
