Windows smashed at two Wilmslow banks

The windows of two banks in Wilmslow town centre were smashed the early hours of the morning over the weekend.

Both the Nationwide and Halifax on Grove Street were targeted on Saturday, 24th September.

Referring to the Halifax, a police spokesperson said "At 1am on Saturday 24 September police were called to reports of an attempted burglary of a cash machine at a bank on Grove Street in Wilmslow.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Cheshire Constabulary online quoting IML 1373556."

Another incident was reported at Nationwide bank at around 1am. The alarm was activated and the windows smashed however it's unclear if anything was stolen or if there was an attempt to steal anything.
