Situated in a quiet location in the heart of the village is a new independent coffee shop - The Coffee Shed.
It's a place where you can to enjoy a great cup of coffee, a pot of tea, or a Kombucha – all organically produced and served with love. Raw cold-pressed juices and smoothies are also available to perk you up and make you feel great! It's a place to unwind or to gather with friends, where you can enjoy a wide range of locally produced artisan treats.
As an independent coffee shop, The Coffee Shed offers something a little bit different to your coffee catch ups, welcoming both 'paws' and 'peddlers' to the shed. Take a break from a long walk or ride and enjoy the outside space, where their friendly team will make you feel at home.
The Coffee Shed is based at The Village Green, your local Sustainable Grocery Store, where you can enjoy a great tasting cup of coffee, whilst topping up on household essentials and refills while in-store. But what really sets The Coffee Shed apart from more well known high street coffee shops, is it's organically produced, great tasting coffee – Tatama Single Origin Coffee.
Named after one of Columbia's National Parks, Tatama coffee is organically grown in the hills of Santuario, located at the edge of the natural reserve, which is home to over 400 species of birds, 100 species of mammals, over 100 reptiles and over 500 species of orchids. As a local employer to the area, Tatama work closely with the reserve to help protect this beautiful area and its inhabitants.
Henry and his wife Ana Catalina, owners of Tatama coffee, work directly with the local farmers from Santuario, who they grew up with, ensuring they are
supported and paid above the commodity price for their coffee, making it more profitable for the farmers and more sustainable for future generations.
