Youth theatre is back to dazzle the audience

Following a year away from the theatre, due to the covid restrictions, the young performers at TEMPO are returning to the stage with a performance of the multi-award-winning musical, Chicago.

Set in the roaring1920's, jazz era Chicago, against a backdrop of prohibition the shows tells the tale of accused murderesses Roxy Hart and Velma Kelly who vie for the spotlight, fame and headlines with the help of smooth talking lawyer Billy Flynn.

Chairman Alison Bisset said "We are all, cast and crew alike, so pleased to be back rehearsing a show once more, and to come back with a show like Chicago really is the icing on the cake. Our talented cast have really missed each other and are so happy to back together working on a new show with memorable songs and some great Fosse style routines."

She added "We really appreciate the loyal and continuing support from our audience who buy tickets to a great night at the theatre allowing TEMPO to continue to put on some fantastic musical theatre year after year."

Chicago (High School Edition) will be at the Evans Theatre, Wilmslow Leisure Centre between the 15th - 19th March.

Performances are at 7.30pm with a matinee on Saturday 19th March at 2.30pm. For more information and tickets go to www.tempotheatre.com or call 07536 398948.
