Wilmslow resident humbled to attend Festival of Remembrance

A Wilmslow resident who was selected to take part in the Royal British Legion's celebrations to mark their 100th Year was delighted to take part in the Festival of Remembrance at The Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, 13th November.

Khumi Burton was humbled to be invited and included as one of 100 members, describing it the experience as most emotional and memorable.

She told wilmslow.co.uk "When we came down the steps to the centre to the well of the theatre everyone in the audience clapped. Everyone was given a wrist band and as we came down it was lit up."

Khumi added "I was very very impressed with all the RBL Remember team who organised it and the BBC team who made sure we all were on time .... the hard work which goes into it is just amazing.

"Hats off to them from the bottom of my heart. When you see it on TV it looks so so seamless but the organisation backstage is just incredible."
