The Carters Arms on Chapel Lane in Wilmslow will be amongst the first pubs in the country to be showing live 3D Premier League football.

Sky 3D is launching exclusively in a selection of pubs up and down the country tomorrow, Saturday 3rd April, kicking off with the live Premier League clash between Manchester United and Chelsea at 12.45pm.

Sue Bowman, landlady at the Carters Arms said "We are expecting it to be very busy. To be fair we haven't taken any table bookings so it will be first come, first served and we will have waitress service during the match so viewers don't miss any of it."

Sue added "I know some people who saw a trial of Sky 3D last month in a Didsbury pub, which they described as 'out of this world'."

When I popped in this afternoon they were busy installing new tables and chairs ready for tomorrow and landlord Colin Ardern handed me a pair of 3D glasses so I could view the Sky logo, even that looked amazing.

Colin explained "Five more live 3D Premier League matches will be shown this season, then next season they are hoping it will be every week."

The match will be repeated in 3D during the weekend at the Carters Arms for anyone who can't get in to see it tomorrow lunchtime and later in the year Sky have announced that users will be able to watch some of Sky Sports, Sky Movies and entertainment in 3D from the comfort of their own home.
