Plans have been submitted to demolish a dormer bungalow located within the North Cheshire Green Belt and replace it with apartments.

The site, located at the end of Weston Road, comprises a detached three bedroom dwelling which was built around 1970 and is vacant.

The proposal is to construct a three-storey building of modern design, with one floor being below ground level. It will contain 3 three-bedroom apartments that will share 10 parking spaces.

Qdos Development Limited were granted planning permission in May 2018 to demolish the existing single storey Hyrne House and replace it with a detached 5 bedroom house along with 3 car parking spaces.

The plans can be viewed on Cheshire East Council's planning portal, by searching for planning reference 19/0157M. The last date for submitting comments is March 6th and a decision is expected by April 4th.

O, dear! These planning officers really do have their blindfolds with £££'s on, don't they?
Yet again, permission granted to an inappropriate development. Where will it end?
Or do the Planning Dept., not envision an end until we are fully concreted over?
Forget green belt protection. It is a pipe dream now that 300,000 new homes required every year.
Three 3 bed. apartments (flats) on the same footprint as a (max.?4 person) single dwelling.
That's a possible 12 people, cheek by jowl; probable 6 cars (pity the poor neighbours) not likely to be tippy toeing about therefore increased noise...ha! to a decent quality of life.

Great use of this space, this has been derelict for years and the perfect spot for such a development.
