Plans to replace Chapel Lane shop with flats approved

Plans to convert a retail shop, workshop and accommodation into apartments on the corner of Chapel Lane and Nursery Lane have been approved.

The proposal to create 2 two-bedroom flats with a parking space each at 43 Chapel Lane

The scheme includes building a two storey extension at the rear, replacing the workshop. Whilst the parking at the front of the shop will become a landscaped garden.

Access to the flats and parking will be off Nursery Lane.

The officer's decision went against the views of the Town Council. A disappointing decision which will have implications for the long term viability of Chapel Lane as a secondary shopping centre in Wilmslow.
