Lindow 1st XI welcomed Weaverham to Upcast Lane on Saturday looking for a win after three consecutive draws have seen them drop to second in the table.
Having won the toss and elected to bowl the home side never looked back. The visitors had no answer to the Lindow bowling attack and were dismissed for just 87 with Tim Young (5-29), Alex Matthews (3-17) and Sultan Raja (2-23) taking the wickets.
Lindow chased the total down in 17 overs after some positive batting from Major Khan (34 not out) and Rob Herriott (23 not out). With nine games to go it's going to be an exciting couple of months for Lindow as they push for promotion.
Lindow 2nd XI had a disappointing defeat at Congleton on Saturday. Chasing the home side's 204-6, Lindow were bowled out for 132, with only Pete Hodge (26 not out) offering any resistance.
Lindow 3rd XI recorded an impressive win over Urmston at their Alderley Park ground. The visitors were bowled out for 98 with a career best 7-31 from wily finger spinner Dean Cox. The Lindow response was led by captain Hassan Mahmood (44) and talented u13 batsman Tom Wilson (32 not out) to give the home side an 8 wicket win.
Lindow 4th XI went top of the league after winning a thrilling match on Sunday away at Macclesfield. The home side posted 196-6 in their 40 overs with Rowan Day (3-20) the pick of the Lindow bowlers. In response the great mix of experience and talented juniors got Lindow over the line in the final over. Pete Venables gave his team the platform with a classy 68, before Max Espley (29) and Charlie Hodge (45 not out) helped to secure a seven wicket win with just five balls to spare.
