Plans for new sunbed salon given the glow ahead

Plan have been approved to enable a sunbed salon to open on Alderley Road.

Stirling based Indigo Sun Retail have been granted permission for a change of use of 51 Alderley Road, previously occupied by Haslam's shoe shop which relocated to Grove Street in 2016.

The business will employ two full-time and two part-time members of staff and the proposed hours of opening for the sunbed salon are 9am to 10pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 10pm on Saturdays, 10am to 9pm on Sundays and 10am to 7pm on Bank Holidays.

Replace ‘glow’ with increased risk of skin cancer and it’s not so amusing. These places should have the same health warnings put on cigarette packets.
