Plans have been submitted to demolish an engineering workshop in the town centre and build a row of terraced houses.
Ladyfield Developments are seeking permission to demolish a two-storey brick building Ladyfield Street, which is currently used by a steel fabrication business, and replace it with three terraced houses and six parking spaces.
The 2 1⁄2 storey row of terraced houses would front onto Ladyfield Street and have 3 bedrooms, with the master bedroom located within the roof space.
The plans can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 17/0921M. The last date for submitting comments is March 16th and a decision is expected by April 17th.

Here's what readers have had to say so far. Why not add your thoughts below.
The area is one that represents what little remains of 'older' Wilmslow - it's not derelict but a working, living community apparently happy with it's lot. I wonder will the proposed plans preserve the nature and mood of it's surroundings - or maybe stick out like a sore thumb.
Reverse engineering is what should be at the centre of this planning application, not wholesale restructuring just to maximise investment by some developer (regardless of whether it is the previous long term owner making the application).
