Following two successful years of the Cinema on the Carrs plans are already underway to ensure that this year's extended event attracts an even larger and wider audience.
This year's Cinema on the Carrs is scheduled to take place on Saturday 10th June and will include a number of new initiatives - including the addition of an afternoon 'matinee' film specifically aimed at the younger family audience.
In order to ensure that this year's films appeal to the largest local audience, residents are being asked to vote for which films they would like to be featured.
Town Clerk Matthew Jackson explained "Following the success of the two previous years we have decided to introduce a film directed specifically to children and a young family audience that will be shown as part of a family themed afternoon that will include bouncy castles, face painting an activity centre and a Duck Race."
"The well-established format of the evening film will be maintained, the afternoon entertainment will be cleared away giving way to the traditional party atmosphere. Once again the event will be free to attend, funded and organised by Wilmslow Town Council."
Local residents are being invited to choose from the following four family orientated films for the matinee performance: Toy Story, The Lion King, Finding Nemo or Madagascar.
For the evening performance, following on from Mama Mia and Grease in previous years, the choice to make is between; Dirty Dancing (12A), Back to the Future (PG), Jaws (12A) or Strictly Ballroom (PG). .
