A Wilmslow sculptor was invited by the RHS to submit a proposal for a sculpture at this year's Tatton Flower Show.
Having created public sculpture installations for the new Wincham War Memorial, near Northwich, and The Pear sculpture in Wilmslow's town centre, Keith Carter Harris's latest creation, a piece entitled 'Division', will feature at this year's show which opens runs from Wednesday 20th to Sunday 24th July 2016.
Originally from London, Keith now lives and works in Wilmslow using natural stone, resin and concrete to create sculptures. His installation covers an area of 25 by 17 foot and will be located near to the main food hall on the showground.
Keith said "It was inspired not only from an organic horticultural point of view, but also very mindfully, of division as a subject being rarely out of the news these days."
He added "This is my largest installation so far and it has widened my use of materials to create this sculptural setting".
"I would describe Division, as being a sculptural installation with planting. However, I would not be surprised if others described it, as a garden with sculptures. That I suppose, is for others to decide".
