A planning application has been submitted to change the use of an empty retail unit in the town centre to enable a new salon to open.

DGBR Properties has applied to change the use of 67 Water Lane, the premises previously occupied by Website Store, so a beauty salon and nail bar can open.

The new salon will employ two full-time and two part-time members of staff

The planning application can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 16/2621M. The last date for submitting comments is 6th August.

Great - another beauty salon, just what our town needs. I don't think.
It says a lot that these operations seem to be the only type of business thriving in the town at present.

As usual the figures don't stack up. Call it three full time and they would have to earn the business around£20net each for 8 hours a day six days a week. ?????? Shame its not going to be a shop selling things like expensive jewellery or watches.
