Salon rises from the ashes

A Wilmslow salon which was badly damaged by a fire this week has organised a pop-up shop to enable them to continue trading.

Wilmslow Green Hair Studio, which has been located on Wareham Street for over twenty five years, needs a complete refurbishment having suffered severe fire and water damage on Tuesday, 7th June when a fire broke out in the roof of the building.

As a result of the fire, which is believed to have been caused work by work being carried out on an adjacent roof, the roof of the hairdressers and the first floor have been lost.

On order to continue to providing a service to their clients, many of whom travel far to visit the salon, Adam Smith-Daffern and his business partner Lynda Wallis have moved to a temporary premises in Handforth until they can relaunch a new hair salon at Wilmslow Green.

Adam Smith-Daffern said "We have moved to a "pop up shop" for the next two to three months as the Wilmslow salon has to be totally re-done. We are going to be in the Handforth Paddock in the right corner and there is ample parking for the clients."

He added "Thank you to all our clients and friends for their kind words and help."
