Georgie Johnson, Events Manager, said "We'd like to thank everyone who has taken the trouble to nominate so far. It has been very humbling to read them all. There are some wonderful people out their quietly making other people's lives that little bit better with their gestures of help, their support or their friendly attitude."
Catherine Mackenzie, Chairman of the Wilmslow Business Group said, "We would like to encourage everyone to nominate those people who make a difference in the community. Do you know someone who provides great service and is always cheerful? Why not nominate them for Service with a Smile award so that they know that their attitude makes a positive difference? There are lots of events in the town from the Scarecrow Festival to the Cinema on the Carrs, from the Motor Show to the Wilmslow Show. You could nominate them for event of the year. We're looking forward to celebrating Wilmslow residents and businesses who make our town such a positive place to live in. "
Nominations for the Awards will close at midnight on Wednesday 30th September 2015. The shortlist will be announced in October ready for the Awards Ceremony which will take place at The Evans Theatre at Wilmslow Leisure Centre on Thursday 19th November, starting at 7pm.
