Lab brings the 'real Italian experience' to Wilmslow

Three foodies who live in different regions of Italy have come together to open The Italianlab on Hawthorn Lane.

Sara Giacomini, Elizabeth Caddick and Giuseppe Camastra, who share the same philosophy - Respect the food and enjoy it! - opened their new venture last month offering food, drink and culture.

Italianlab is a place where people can come for coffee all day, have lunch or dinner in an informal setting or just pop in for a glass of prosecco and a few cichetti.

Sara explained "The Italianlab is bringing to Wilmslow the real Italian experience as we, and who have visited Italy, know it to be. At the Lab you eat like you would in Italy with regards to the dishes flavours and the whole Italian experience using products we have sourced ourselves direct from Italy - with the possibility to buy the pasta, olive oil, olives just to name a few from our deli/shop."

Sommelier Sara Giacomini is married to Chef Diego Critelli and they own a restaurant in Padova, Elizabeth Caddick and Federico Squizzato own a parma prosciutto factory in Padova and Giuseppe Camastra and Mariangela Cardone town a restaurant in Sellia Marina in Calabria region of Southern Italy.

They decided to open in Wilmslow because Elizabeth has a sister living here.

Italianlab offersbreakfast in the mornings from 9am to 11am, a variety of coffees are available throughout the day, whilst lunch is served from 11am to 3pm and dinner is served from 5.30pm until 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 10.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Italianlab is located at 2 Hawthorn Lane.

This sounds brilliant and Italian restaurants are so family friendly. This is reflected in their evening opening hours. A great concept.
