Sandwich shop applies to open cafe

A sandwich shop on Station Road is planning to expand its business by creating a cafe next door.

Lite Delights has submitted a planning application for a change of use of 7 Station Road from a print shop to a cafe, which will enable them to knock through the adjoining wall with number 5 Station Road - which they already operate as a sandwich shop.

This will allow them to create a cafe with a seating area where hot and cold food can be consumed on the premises, as well as providing a takeaway service.

The buildings are Victorian shops with timber shop fronts and date back to circa 1800.

The proposal is to link the two properties at ground floor level and will create 4 new jobs.

The planning application can be viewed of the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 14/1825M. The deadline for submitting comments is 26th June and a decision is expected by 17th July.
