Residents invited to attend Annual Town Meeting

wilmslow

All Wilmslow residents are invited to attend the Annual Town Meeting which will be held at Wilmslow Parish Hall on Thursday 24th April.

The Annual Town Meeting is not a council meeting but a meeting of the residents of the town, providing an opportunity for resident to put questions and express their views about issues affecting Wilmslow.

The meeting will commence at 7pm with a report from the Chairman of the Town Council followed followed by reports from Town Council committees.

Wilmslow groups will be invited to report on their activities during the year.

All those present will be asked for their name and address when speaking and only registered local electors may speak unless the meeting agrees otherwise.

See our events calendar for the meeting agenda.

The Annual Town meeting (this Thurs, 7pm Wilmslow Parish Hall, Cliff Rd) can be regarded as the Shareholders (Wiilmslow electors) AGM when the Board (WTC Cllrs) face the electorate, to justify their decisions & expenditure over the past 12 months.
In addition, it is an opportunity for all local Groups to briefly showcase their activities to a wider Wilmslow audience. I would hope that any group who has received a WTC grant was able to report how this Grant furthered their objectives.
I hope that all the CEC Cllrs for Wilmslow will attend as Green belt development and the Local Plan will no doubt feature in the Q&A.

Thank you to all the residents who attended last night's meeting. The more input we get the more we are able to address the issues that matter most to Wilmslow residents.

Disappointing that no Wilmslow CEC Cllrs (apart from Cllr Gary Barton) attended, nor any Youth Forum members. Also no updates from other major WTC grant recipients eg Wilmslow Food Bank.
