A women's clothing boutique has closed down nearly two years after opening on Water Lane.
Lucy Dunstan opened the ladies fashion store Lucy's With Love in April 2012 stocking a range of brands which she described as "glamorous, girly, sophisticated and classy clothes".
The boutique at Unit 4 Courthill House closed on Tuesday afternoon and on Thursday, 20th February, Emerson Management Services posted a Lease Forfeiture Notice at the property saying that the lease has been forfeited and the locks to the premises have been changed.
Lucy Dunstan put the following post on Facebook saying "After much thought and careful consideration I regret to inform you all Lucy's with Love will no longer be trading at Water Lane. I will however be doing online sales in the next month, the rates and rent in Wilmslow are just so unbelievable it makes it very hard to sustain a business.
"Five businesses in Wilmslow have shut in the last two weeks. The council needs to look at this critical situation if not Wilmslow be left with all empty shops."
