A drunk driver who was more than five times over the legal limit was caught after he crashed his car in Handforth yesterday afternoon.
The road traffic accident, which involved three vehicles, occurred on Clay Lane at 4.36pm on Sunday, 22nd December.
The 40-year-old male from Stockport was breathalysed at the roadside and recorded 191 mgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath - which is more than five times the legal limit of 35 mgs.
He suffered minor injuries and was later charged with drink driving. No one else was hurt in the accident.
