A host of local celebrities will be in town next week to attend a red carpet charity event at Revolution.

Amongst those gracing the red carpet on Wednesday, 7th September, will be Shay Given, Paul Dicov, soap stars from Coronation Street and Hollyoaks as well as Top Gear's Stig.

The event is being organised by racing driver Oli Webb who lives in Knutsford and races in the World Series.

The evening is being held in aid of the Starlight Charity which he is an ambassador for. Starlight brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by granting them once-in-a-lifetime wishes and providing entertainment for children in hospitals and hospices.

A BAC- Mono super car, which Oli is the official test driver for, will be on display outside the venue on Alderley Road alongside a new Ferrari 458 Italia and there will be a silent auction with F1 factory tours, race tickets and holidays abroad amongst the prizes.

Guests will be greeted with a champagne and canapes reception and entertained by a cocktail masterclass, live music from Yorkshire-based cover band Matrix and Oliver from Simon Dunn Chocolates will be carving a chocolate sculpture of Webb's PONS Racing Formula Renault 3.5 racer.

Oli told me "I was asked by Revolution to organise a racing night so with local sponsors, my race sponsors and contacts we have created a great night with some special guests to raise awareness and as much money as possible for Starlight Charity."

Tickets for the exclusive event are available by invitation only at a cost £20. Please email Oli for passes.
