Motivated by her niece's wedding, a lady from Wilmslow has lost a staggering six stone.
Judy Edwards from Moorfield Drive decided to join Weight Watchers in August last year because her niece announced she was getting married this July and Judy didn't want to be the 'fat aunt' at her wedding.
In just under 12 months the mother of two dropped from a size 22 to a size 10 - achieving her goal weight just before the wedding.
Judy told me "When I joined Weight Watchers I knew this was the last time and the wedding was all the motivation I needed. After a few weeks I joined the local gym where I have been going four times a week.
"June Bailey (Weight Watchers' leader) has been so supportive and so have the other members that I stay to all the meetings as I think it gives you a boost from week to week. It has made me feel really good about myself and the comments people have made makes it all worthwhile."
June entered Judy into a national competition, hosted by Weight Watchers magazine, offering a complete make over which Judy was delighted to win.
She told me "Last Friday I had a one to one consultation with Louise Roe who is the stylist for Weight Watchers. After the consultation she chose clothes for me and then I had my photograph taken by a professional photographer. It was an amazing day and, if that wasn't enough, I got to keep the clothes. My niece has taken the dress on her honeymoon as she liked it that much."
Judy added "My family, friends and colleagues at work have been so supportive. Some of my colleagues have also joined Weight Watchers and are doing really well, we keep each other motivated not to put your hand in the biscuit tin.
"If I can do it anyone can, the pro point programme fits into every day life and therefore is easy to do. I use all the Weight Watchers cook books which my whole family enjoys."
