A football legend and consultant from Wilmslow are supporting a men's health day.

Manchester City Football Club have endorsed the event, which will be opened by the club's ambassador Mike Summerbee.

Men's health is close to the heart of the former England and Manchester City star, he said "My father died when he was just 39. If men had more knowledge of symptoms to look out for, then perhaps many premature deaths could be prevented. It's fantastic to be part of an event which can raise awareness."

Adebanji Adeyoju from Wilmslow, is part of Manchester Urology - a team of local consultants who are sponsoring this event.

Nine local consultants, who collectively make up a team of vascular surgeons, urologists and cardiologists have joined forces and will be offering free consultations to male members of the public at the Alexandra Hospital.

The event has been organised to support Men's Health Day and will take place on Saturday, 9th July, from 10am to 1pm.

On arrival members of the public will be given the chance to book their 5 minute free consultation with a Urologist, Vascular Surgeon or Cardiologist, alternatively advance bookings can be made by calling 0800 096 314.
