Football is back on the streets

Project X 058

Wilmslow is to play host to a new sporting phenomenon as half term will see the launch of an exciting new street soccer game.

'Project X' has been developed by a group of students from Wilmslow High school and a local professional coaching company Premier Football Coaching (PFC). It gets players off the sofa and away from TV screens and by using their feet as fire buttons and footballs for ammo, players of all ages and abilities complete a series of street soccer challenges and battle to become the Project X Ace.

Elle Charnley, Manchester United FC Ladies U18's player and one of the co founders of Project X, said, "As part of an FA coaching course delivered by PFC we discussed how we could put the fun back into football. Our idea was to capture the excitement of a video game but play it in a real active street soccer environment. The result was 'Project X' and it really is great fun."

Project X will be launched at Wilmslow High school during the February half term holiday and players of all ages and abilities can take the Project X challenge. For more info on 'Project X' or to book a daily or weekly pass for the half term camp call the booking line on 01625 415151 or visit www.premierfc.com.
