One part of that road was closed today with a ridiculous 40 minute diversion via Prestbury and Macc' .As a result Heyes Lane Alderley is the new official Southbound section of the dual carriageway. I was hoping it was just a one day closure but it loooks like we have another 29 hours of this utter nonsense to repair Ringway Jacobs faulty surface.

I've said it before. You do not use chippings as a surface on anything except small country lanes. Certainly not on 70mph dual carriageways. My Dad worked for Wimpey roads department, mainly on motorways and they NEVER used chipping road surfaces. They may be cheap but they do not last especially on high speed dual carriageways. But, of course, CEC always know better!!!! It's not their money!!
