Wilmslow resident Maxwell Eden has opened Eden Natural Delicatessen and Cafe this week on Chapel Lane, which sells a wide range of local produce and fine foods, including organic fruits and artisan cheeses.

Maxwell Eden said "We have selected local quality food for our shop, the fruit and veg is organic and local, the cheeses come from local dairies along with the milk and the fairtrade coffee is organic."

Maxwell added "I have lived in Wilmslow all my life and think it is an amazing place. I looked at Chapel Lane and I thought that the road would suit a delicatessen, with a fishmongers next door and the bakers across the road. There are so many great shops on Chapel Lane and a new lease of life has been provided with Motrax and the amazing stationers opening recently. This road is a real community hub.

"I believe in local shopping, local shops buy from other local shops so its important to use them otherwise they will go, there is no reason why local shops can not compete with the big chains if people use them."

Eden Deli will also be introducing a delivery service mid May, which will be free for orders over £15, which are delivered within a 4 mile radius. An Eden Deli loyalty card is also available which will be stamped every time you spend over £10, once you have collected 10 stamps you will receive £10 free.
