Jackie Weaver who became an internet celebrity earlier this year after a recording of a chaotic Handforth Parish Council went viral has starred in the opening of the 2021 Brit Awards which features quotes from former Handforth Parish Council members.
Ms Weaver, Chief Officer of the Cheshire Association of Local Council, gatecrashed the host's zoom call with Line Of Duty's Vicky McClure and Martin Compston.
Jackie, who had been asked to step in and support Handforth Parish Council in light of complaints and an investigation into their conduct, featured in the opening sequence - according to the Mirror "The BRIT Awards 2021 kicked off in the best way possible this evening with a mash-up of the best two parts of the past year - Line of Duty and the iconic Jackie Weaver."
Jack Whitehall told her "You have no authority here", "Read the standing orders. Read them and understand them" - quotes taken from the former Chair Brian Tolver and Vice-Chair Aled Brewerton.
She subsequently kicked him off the call, just as she did to parish council members during the infamous meeting which thousands of people watched online -witnessing it descend into chaos as members traded insults.
