Reader's Letter: Easter blooms on Water Lane

It has been a while since the members of Wilmslow Methodist Church met to worship inside their building on Water Lane. However, on Easter Sunday morning they decided to come together outside the walls, to help turn the stark wooden cross into something beautiful by covering it with flowers.

We had that many flowers brought by our members that we had to keep fixing more and more green wire to take them. It was joyful to see everyone arriving, armed with bunches of flowers - such a positive experience and lovely result after such a challenging year. The cross became a symbol of new life and hope on Easter morning.

Since the first lockdown in March 2020, our worship team has been produced a weekly 20 min online service that can be viewed on the church YouTube channel. This can be accessed via our website.
