Wilmslow Albion's 1st Team travelled to the newly named Pro Seal Stadium where our hosts Cheadle Heath Nomads play from for our second fixture in the Concorde Trophy.

After a slow start in some blustery conditions, Wilmslow Albion took the lead after some great work from Jamie Green on the byline he played it across goal for Jacob Gresty to open his account for Albion. Moments later a lovely through ball to Connor Thompson then allowed him to finish past the onrushing keeper to extend Albion's lead to 2-0 at the half time interval.

Our hosts, Linotype Cheadle HN then pulled a goal back a minute into the second half after some lacklustre defending. Could Albion now weather the storm coming from both our hosts and the weather as the heavens opened in Cheadle Heath. After some tricky footwork in the penalty area from Jamie Green, which saw him fouled, Green picked himself up to take the penalty, the penalty was well saved to the keepers right, but Green acrobatically scored the rebound to put Albion into a 3-1 lead. Connor Thompson then added his second of the game with a magnificent finish into the bottom corner, with Miles Fenton rounding of the scoring after some great wing play to leave the score standing at 5-1 to Wilmslow Albion.

Albion now stand top of the Concorde Trophy with two remaining fixtures left in the pre season tournament, we travel to Poynton on Tuesday, whilst hosting Stockport Georgians on Thursday both 6.45pm kickoffs.

Wilmslow Albion Reserves lost 6-1 to West Didsbury AFC with Daniel Aymes scoring the only goal for Albion from the penalty spot.
