At around 10.40am firefighters were called to reports of an unsafe gable end on a two-storey property on Kings Road in Wilmslow.

On arrival the crews found the unsafe structure swaying in the wind. Safety firefighters set up a cordon around the area and an adjoining property has been evacuated.

A building inspector from Cheshire East Council attended, assessed the structure and arranged for a scaffolding firm to remove the gable end to a safe height.

I think the Cheshire East building inspector will report this to the HSE due to the risks. It should happen automatically with incidents such as this. Well done to whoever reported it.
