Menswear shop set to become offices

Planning permission has been granted to change the use of a large town centre retail unit into offices.

S G Response, who offer accident claims management services, have been given permission to create offices at 9-13, St Anns Parade, which is currently occupied by Wardrobe menswear shop.

The proposed opening hours for the office, which will employ 25 full-time members of staff, are 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 4pm Saturday.

Wilmslow Town Council's Planning Committee recommended refusal of this application on the grounds that the current use contributes to the vitality of the town centre retail environment and there is much unused office space already available in less suitable retail locations.

The plans can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council website by searching for planning reference 16/5737M.
