Wilmslow marked Remembrance Day this morning as local residents gathered to watch the parade pass through the town centre followed by a service to remember those who fought and sacrificed their lives while serving for their country.
Led by the Alderley District Scout Band, the parade set off from the British Legion Club and made its way down to St Bartholomew's Church.
Under the control of Parade Marshall members of The Royal British Legion were joined by local councillors, police officers, army cadets, air cadets, scouts, cubs, beavers, guides, brownies and rainbows.
Following the remembrance service, a two minute silence and the laying of wreaths took place at the War Memorial on Chancel Lane.
The parade then marched back to the British Legion, stopping on Grove Street where the Salute was taken.
Handforth residents also honoured our fallen this morning. The Parade set off from Handforth Youth Centre and marched along Old Road and Station Road before proceeing along Wilmslow Road to St Chads Church where the Handforth Remembrance Service took place, during which a minutes silence was held at 11am.
Afterwards the Parade reformed and marched along Wilmslow Road to the Handforth War Memorial for prayers and a wreath laying service.
Thanks to Rob Sawyer and Derek Ferguson who kindly sent photos of Handforth's Remembrance Parade.
