Two men charged following burglary investigation

Two men have been charged following an investigation by detectives into two attempted burglaries and one burglary.

On Tuesday, 13th September at 1.30am two men were disturbed while attempting to break into a house in Bramley Close in Wilmslow.

Then shortly after 3am officers were called to a shop in Westmorland Close Macclesfield following reports of two men attempting to gain access to the ATM. The car used in the attempted ATM break in had been taken from an address at The Circuit in Wilmslow earlier that night and subsequently reported stolen.

Two men, aged 24 and 23, both from Manchester, were detained and arrested on suspicion of burglary and the car was seized.

Dean Stanway, 23, of Tuffley Road, Manchester was charged with two attempted burglaries and one burglary.

Shaun Parry, 24, from Sale Road, Manchester was charged with two counts of attempted burglary, burglary and possession of an offensive weapon.

Both were due to appear at South and East Cheshire Magistrates today (14th September).
