Following the heavy downpours, firefighters were called to reports of flooding at a number of properties in Wilmslow on Thursday, 16th June.
Just before 4pm crews pumped out water from the cellar of a property on Manchester Road where the water level was close to the electrics.
A Wilmslow service station was affected by flooding for the second time in less than a week. Firefighters isolated both the fuel and the electricity supply and advised everyone to stay outside the property until a building engineer and electrician had checked the building.
Crews also isolated the electricity supply at a detached property in Simpson Street where the ground floor was affected by flood water and there was a report of flooding at a property in Grove Avenue where the electricity supply, which was located in the cellar, was under three feet of water.
Units were affected at Bollin Valley Link after the road flooded and flooding affected flats on Kennerleys Lane.
Additionally fire crews were called to property on Cambridge Avenue where the garage was flooded and the cellar of a shop on Church Street.
