In preparation for the 100th Alderley Edge Festival (AEF) in May next year organisers are requesting that people send them their favourite memories from previous year for a record of the festival which they are producing next year.

The Festival committee would welcome comments, anecdotes, memories of the festival, some of which will be printed in a photographic record of the past 100 years and all of them will be added to their our website.

Judy Hill, President OF AEF, said "I am working on a photo book with a couple of friends and we want to include appropriate comments to make the whole thing more interesting and amusing. In order to have the book finished, proof read and printed for May 2016 we need to prepare as much as we can before the end of this year."

Contributions should be no more than 100 words and should be submitted under one of the following headings: committee, steward, competitor, teacher and well-wisher. They will then be printed anonymously under that heading.

In order to collate all the information in time for the 100th Festival in May 2016 contributions are required by the end of November 2015 and should be emailed to [email protected] or sent to Judy Hill, Brook Cottage, Alderley Road, Mottram St. Andrew SK10 4QN.

Judy added "No acknowledgement will be possible but all contributions will be most welcome."
