Ci Research has launched a new project to reveal the definitive meaning of life - once and for all. The Wilmslow based agency will canvas politicians, religious leaders, singers, actors, authors and sporting heroes for their answer - in 150 words or less - about what life means to them.
It is then planned to distill all the answers using a mix of research techniques to generate the definitive meaning of life. The project has been launched to celebrate the research company's 20th anniversary and raise money for two North West-based children’s hospices - Francis House and Clare House.
"For the project, we have compiled a top secret list of opinion formers and public figures who will be invited to share their opinions and update our understanding of what modern life means. But we're also open to approaches from people from all walks of life who have strong opinions on the subject." explained Ian Font, Managing Director at Ci Research.
Ian added that for "over 20 years we've been asked to deliver answers to a wide variety of questions for clients. But, for us, 'what is the meaning of life?' represents the ultimate philosophical, religious and scientific challenge".
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams famously revealed that the meaning of life was '42'. Plato believed that the meaning of life is in attaining the highest form of knowledge. And Aristotle believed that everything should be done with a goal, and that the goal should be 'good'.
The Ci Research findings will be published in a book called 'The Handbook of Life'. It will feature a compilation of answers to the questions: 'what is the meaning of life?'; 'what is the best advice on life you’ve ever been given?' and 'describe a life changing experience'.
The handbook will be sold for £4.99 and be available in time for Christmas. For more information on Ci Research visit www.ci-research.com.
