Sowing the seeds for blooming marvellous crocus display

Wilmslow Town Council has agreed to plant additional bulbs at Fulshaw Cross roundabout.

Councillors voted in favour of spending £625 to purchase some more crocus bulbs for the roundabout near the King's Arm, where the three flower beds planted by Cheshire East Council were turfed over at the beginning of the summer.

Cllr Ruth McNulty said "We are proposing to fill those beds with more crocus bulbs because the crocus display at that roundabout this Spring was phenomenal so I think we should add to it."

Councillors voted unanimously to spend the £625, which will cover the purchase of the bulbs as well as the planting of them.

Glad to hear there will be more bulbs after the loss of the flower beds. Hope the display is as good as the last few years, it has been beautiful.
