A free presentation and talk by Professor John Handley about Lindow Moss; one of the largest lowland peatlands in Cheshire.
They will talk about the celebration of 40 years since the discovery of Lindow Man, the history and the landscape and a discussion of moving forward with the restoration of this huge carbon sink
John Handley is an Emeritus Professor in Planning and Environmental Management at the University of Manchester. Through the Lindow Moss Landscape Partnership he is currently involved in work to conserve, restore and interpret the landscape of Lindow Moss. John Handley is a laureate of the United Nations Environment Programme's Global 500 for services to the environment. He holds an OBE for services to urban regeneration.
