Festivities on the day include a mini market, which will be held in The Paddock from 2pm until 5pm, with a variety of stalls including community organisations who get involved to support every year.
There will also be donkeys and Santa will be making an appearance with his sleigh, offering children the chance to visit him in the grotto.
Entertainment will include children's choirs from both Handforth Grange School and St Benedict's School.
The Christmas light's will be switched on at approximately 4:30pm by the winners of the Children's poster competition, accompanied by special guests local heroes from the uniformed services, as well as mini heroes from both primary schools.
