5   An exceptional educational opportunity for girls

WPS is officially an 'outstanding' school for girls located in the heart of Wilmslow.

As soon as you walk into WPS there is an air of warm and friendly tradition where the girls are happy, polite and full of character! The teaching staff are all dedicated in encouraging each individual girl to achieve their very best. WPS boasts many wonderful facilities: the purpose built Sports Hall, Science Room, inspirational Art and Design Studio, Speech Drama and Music Rooms and the fantastic IT Suite, not forgetting the multi-purpose Main Hall which is the setting for their daily 'yummy' lunches, weekly assemblies, plays, music festivals, grandparent mornings and PTA events held throughout the year.

WPS Year 6 leavers consistently achieve outstanding results and move onto their chosen senior school (as my 11 year old did last year) as well rounded, confident young ladies with a solid educational foundation that will stay with them throughout their lives.

My 8 year old would be more than happy to show you and your daughter(s) round the school and tell you, in person, why she feels WPS is the perfect school for girls!

5   Excellent all round education

WPS, a small, cosy, nurturing environment for our daughters. Certainly. You really need to walk through the doors to experience the atmosphere, and I can't do that for you. What I can do is give you an insight into a typical day for my 9 year old. Friday:

8am - Computer Club (Learn how to build a website!)

1st Break - Violin Lesson

Lunch Break - Friday Fiddlers (fun violin group)

4pm - Onto the school mini bus and off to Wilmslow Hockey Club

5.15pm - Home - tired, hungry, but very happy and with lots to tell us.

Yes, the academic side is excellent, but it's the value added that produces wonderfully confident girls with fantastic "can do" attitudes, ready to make the most of whatever opportunities they are given at secondary school and beyond.

My 11 year old is in her first term at her new school. Her organisational and homework skills are fantastic. The transition has been seamless. Thank you WPS!
