Tony Hughes

Racecourse Road, Wilmslow,

I started playing the piano at the age of 8 and studied at Wells Cathedral School and Kingston University.

Professionally, I play as one half of the piano duo Dolby and Hughes as well as working regularly with solo instrumentalists, choirs and orchestras.

Having run a thriving music tuition business in Nantwich, I moved to Wilmslow a couple of years ago and am now expanding my teaching business in my new home on Racecourse Road in Wilmslow.

I teach the Piano for all grades (beginner to Diploma) and welcome pupils of all ages. I am very happy to work with adults, whether you want to pass examinations or just play for fun.

My music room has two pianos, which makes it really easy to demonstrate ways to improve technique or musicality.

Music lessons should be enjoyable and I want pupils to love the piano in the way I do. It is a great skill to have - no matter what your age.

I also offer Music Theory tuition for both my own pupils and for Instrumentalists, whose music teachers don't offer the classes.

A term of lessons is available for £150 (payable in 3 instalments); a term is 10 weeks and lessons are normally half an hour in length. I can also offer one hour or fortnightly lessons, if that is more appropriate for your needs.

As an introductory offer, the first lesson is free of charge to all new pupils.
