Members needed for Police Audit Committee

An Audit Committee is being set to provide independent assurance on the adequacy of financial management in the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner and for Cheshire Constabulary.

John Dwyer, Police & Crime Commissioner for Cheshire and the Chief Constable David Whatton, wish to appoint five independent members of the public to carry out this role from September 2013.

Initially three members will be appointed for five years and two members for three years, with appointments five yearly after that.

The Committee will meet four times a year.
