Driver blocks exit at Wilmslow Fire Station

A mindless driver left his car parked outside Wilmslow Fire Station right next to a sign clearly stating 'No parking'.

The blue BMW was parked in front of the station, blocking one of the exits and potentially preventing a fire engine from responding to an emergency call.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fie and Rescue posted on Twitter "We have recently seen a number of vehicles being parked at the front of our fire stations.

"Please refrain from doing this as it causes an obstruction and can delay our crews from responding to incidents."

Drivers need to think carefully about where they park. Section 44 of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 gives fire brigade employees powers to move or break into a vehicle without the consent of its owner in an emergency.
