Finn Youth, the Wilmslow youth theatre group, will kick off their 2013 season with their new play 'The Last Cowboy Of Wilmslow'.

The play is Finn Youth's first performance since the success of their West End show 'Trash' which was written by Luke Gilfedder, one of the group founders, and performed in Covent Garden over Christmas.

'The Last Cowboy Of Wilmslow', a short tale based loosely on the life of 1900's American Author Jack London, will star one of the group's original lineups, Angus Macalister, Kassim Bahsoon, Tom Sneyd and Evie Ioannides.

Angus, playing the Cowboy, said "It's a good play, something Luke wrote alongside the West End show and we've been developing in the few weeks we had after London.

"It's something the group are looking forward to because we can have more fun with it than say the West End show, which was purely about the writing. Being able to do it at our base in Pownall too, a venue which stands up to everywhere else we've performed, be it Covent Gardens or the Royal Exchange, is a real blessing for us - it gives you the freedom you don't get elsewhere to just put up a show with your friends really quickly that's also really good.

"The group are just getting better and better, they are now settling into and perfecting all we started last year in our debut run of shows."

The production will take place for one night only at Pownall Hall Theatre on Friday March 1st, starting at 7pm. Tickets, costing £6 and £4 for concessions, can be booked from 07538682645.
