The 2013 East Cheshire Hospice Christmas Tree Collection was another big success and is expected to raise over £60,000 for the Hospice.

On the weekend of January 12th and 13th the fantastic team of volunteers collected over 4,800 trees.

So far this year's collection has raised over £50,500. However, final figures will not be known for a few more weeks until sponsorship, late payers, the recycling grant and gift aid have all been collected.

Organiser Richard Raymond said "We hope to achieve our target of being able to give a net total of £60,000 to the Hospice. Over the thirteen years of collecting Christmas trees the total amount raised for the Hospice is now over £394,000.

"This is a great success and could only be achieved with the help of generous donors such as yourselves and the dedicated work of our team of over 170 helpers."

Last year's Christmas Tree Collection for East Cheshire Hospice raised over £60,200 to help meet its fundraising need of £6,000 per day for running costs. This broke the previous record of £59,450.
