Organisers of the Wilmslow Artisan Market have been invited to a reception at the House of Commons.

As award winners of one of the regional Annual Market Towns Awards, Denise Valente and Vicky Jackson have been invited to the Action for Market Towns annual reception which is taking place at the House of Commons in March.

The reception will be hosted by Jonathan Djanogly MP and provide an opportunity for guests to reflect on the past year and discuss the opportunities and challenges facing market towns in 2013. Action for Market Towns will also be formally launching this year's National Market Town Awards.

Denise and Vicky have been invited to join the Board of Directors, the staff team, and other top award winners from 2012 to celebrate the achievements of market towns over afternoon tea.

Denise told wilmslow.co.uk "Vicky and I are absolutely thrilled to have been invited to the House of Commons having been awarded the 'Most Highly Transferable Project' accolade last year. Action for Market Towns is an incredible organization which drives innovation in our local towns and recognizes projects that are helping to reinvigorate our town centres. We are very proud to be part of this."

In addition to being named regional winner in the Action for Market Towns 2012 Awards, the Wilmslow Artisan Market also picked up national 'Highly Transferable Award' for Business and the Economy.

The first Wilmslow Artisan Market of 2013 is taking place this Saturday, 19th January, on Grove Street from 10am to 4pm.
