Christmas is a time of celebration. Our young children can barely contain their excitement and we are looking forward to seeing many of our family on Christmas Day. But Christmas is also time to remember those who are having a tough time, those who have lost loved ones this year and those in armed forces and emergency services who work to keep us safe while we enjoy the festivities.
It has been quite a year for Wilmslow. We have had local residents win medals in the Olympic and Paralympic Games and I have helped to paint at least on post box gold as a result. It is good to see that Wilmslow railway station has had a facelift helped by the talented volunteers from Incredible Edible. Wilmslow High School goes from strength to strength and I have opened and visited many successful businesses.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
