Wilmslow Christmas Tree Festival this weekend

The Wilmslow Christmas Tree Festival at United Reformed Church is taking places this weekend.

The church looks stunning, lit up with 49 trees of various shapes and sizes. Each of which has been beautifully decorated by a local organisation, school or businesses.

The Christmas Tree Festival, which is open until Sunday, 9th December, is being held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care, which the church raised £2000 for in 2009.

The festival is open from 10am until 4pm tomorrow and then from 12 noon to 5pm on Sunday when it will finish with carols around the trees between 5pm and 6pm.

A whole programme of events has been put together for the weekend, including performances from local schools and the church organists will be entertaining visitors throughout the festival.

A small entrance charge of £2.50 will be made for adults to include coffee and biscuit. On Saturday, light lunches can be purchased in the church hall from 12 noon.

For further information call the UR Church on 01625 532600 or email [email protected].
